A few photos posted to Instagram doesn’t cut it for the Easter weekend we spent at The JW Marriott Desert Ridge…the fun was literally nonstop…especially for the big kids.
Of course there are the pools…where I happen to spend most of my time with the twins. They pretty much hang out on the first two steps of the shallow pool but really that fine by me. I mean I’m not exactly bikini ready!!!! When they weren’t swimming they were begging to go in the hot tub (I know I know…toddlers shouldn’t be in hot tubs…but don’t worry, I have Kaitlin to remind me of all things I should know as a parent) However I was able to make nap time stilll happen everyday all by myself. (It took lies but it happened). This was the first year we allowed the big kids to stay at the pool while I took the girls up to nap. I asked for a pool view and was able to see them the whole time so that was awesome. Side note…they are all excellent swimmers.
There was sooo much for Kaitlin, Charles and Finn to do. They have the awesome lazy river, a water slide, games throughout the day, even more athletic type games in a nice big grassy courtyard. At night they could even watch a movie in the pool or roast marshmallows. It was such a relief to know they were being entertained, nothing is worse than “mom I’m bored.”
Charley and I were totally covered as well. Give us a date night or even room
service just so we don’t have to cook and we are good. Sometimes nothing is better than just a phone call and viola dinner is served.
If you missed my stories then I have to say you missed out and these photos will have to do, because the Easter Brunch they served was like nothing we had ever seen. From crab legs to tenderloin, to traditional breakfast, to amazing hot veggie sides, to fruits and pasties, salmon and chicken, even a sushi bar…it just kept going, rooms filled with food. They even had a dessert room. The desserts looked more like art and tasted just as good, and they were endless. Cakes, cookies, macaroons, tarts, candy, tiramisu, cheesecakes, you make it they had it. Apparently they do this all out buffet on Mothers Day and Thanksgiving as well…needless to say, we will be there!!! It’s soo worth it
