So we kind of love Annie’s Homegrown over here. And we aren’t just talking about the babies…the big kids snuck off to eat their snacks just so the babies wouldn’t try to take them…and this is why we have the whole box in front of them.
Annie’s Homegrownhas dressed up their delicious fruit snacks & bunny grahams in a Halloween theme, but as always, has left out all the scary stuff like artificial flavors, synthetic colors and preservatives…?? Plus, both varieties are certified organic! And since the girls are showing signs of the terrible twos approaching, I’m happy to use their snacks as rewards for good behavior!! And they come in fun little snack packs so I can hand them right over.
The Organic Halloween Bunny Grahams are a huge hit probably because they are honey and chocolate falovor and taste so Amaaazing. Finn was pretty excited to find the fun DIY super hero costume activity in the box too. And the Organic Bunnies & Bats Fruit Snacks taste so good they ate the whole box…I am not kidding. I wasn’t about to stop them either since I was also trying to take picture of them and they were cooperating…humm new bribing tactic??
These boxes didn’t last long…oppps!!!
Halloween Treats, costumes, and pretty pumpkins!
Sweet treats and sweet Faces.

Boo Bye!!…Thank you to Annie’s for sponsoring this post!
I am not going to lie… I am busy, like super busy and some things go by the way side. Like quality time with my kids…well that and probably some good old life long values I should be teaching them more consistantly. We don’t have family dinners as often as we should or family nights…like ever, but the moments we do have together I try to make them memorable, funny, and real!!! With that said I was super excited to receive these awesome activity kits by Happy Heart Kids. They have activity kits that are filled with games and craft projects that focus on social emotional learning for the whole family.
the baby hands…ahhhhh
chubby baby hands…
They are super fun and super easy which is great for busy parents and little kids who’s attention spans are non-existent. But I think the best part of these activity kits are their message, not only for what they are teach the kids but the parents as well. More times than I would like to admit, I have totally lost it when the kids were acting rudely or inappropriate, or just plain bratty. My first instinct has always been to yell…as if my scary scary voice is going to make them stop hitting each other or make them clean up after themselves. In reality it just teaches them that yelling is the right way to handle their anger. The last thing I want to do is raise 5 replicas of myself…Oh my gosh can you image? Since I do work though I lose a lot of time in the character building area and since my husband is the master in this area I sadly defer to him too often teaching the kids that I am incompetent in this area…I should first at least try to fake it right?? No but really,I need to assure them that I too am someone they can turn to when they have questions about their feelings or this crazy world we live in.
Felt flowers to give to his lady friend…just kidding! Teaching Charles kindness through giving.
Just Finn sharing his feelings with his family
How she feels when I ask her to do the dishes
So we totally (yes I say totally a lot) made a crafting day of it and it was more fulfilling than I ever could have imagined. I learned thinks about every child. I learned about their fears, their goals (Finn wants to be the President of a Lego Club one day, read all the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and be a famous drummer one day. Charles asked how he could impress a girl in his class and get her attention without getting made fun of…my heart sank. Kaitlin, being 14 and maybe even more knowledgeable in this area than me worked with the babies on putting a felt necklace together. Watching her work with them made me feel like I had maybe done something right because really…she is freaking cool!!!! That was until she walked away to text her friend and left the babies at the table alone!!! Markers, scissors, and glue do not go well with Emma…lets leave it at that.
I highly recommend heading over to the Happy Heart Kid website and checking out some of their fun and creative kits. It’s TOTALLY worth it and TOTALLY rewarding and TOTALLY fun!!!
I am soooo excited to be showing you the Maze by Seedling. It quite honestly might be the coolest toy ever. I mean I was so in love with it I brought it to work because I knew even my co-workers would have soo much fun with it.
The Maze by Seedling is all about building your own Maze and working your way through it after. The kids literally ripped open the box they were so excited to get their hand on this. First they used the tiles to design their own marble Maze on grid sheets. The babies wanted to help so badly but I had to remove them from this portion of the fun…they kept trying to eat the tiles of course.

Once the Maze was designed they put it on top of the Maze box and tried it out. Charles wanted to see if he would actually be able to maneuver his ball and make it through a Maze he created. It was really cool to see the satisfaction on his face. He built something that worked and was fun.
But oh my gosh this was nothing compared to what happened next. With the Maze by Seedling…you can also download their app, take a picture of the Maze you created and get inside the Maze yourself…I am not kidding it feels like you are in the Maze. Your phone is secured inside the Reality Viewer box so you are looking at your screens phone which is actually displaying your Maze. I can’t say this enough….you actually feel like you are in the Maze….I repeat you FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN THE MAZE…it was the coolest thing ever!!!!! You can also create traps, riddles, secret passages, obstacles and take selfies…!!! Plus if you get everyone in the family a Reality Viewer and you can sync your devices over blue tooth and challenge each other to races. The whole family was so excited about it we were fighting over the Reality Viewer and didn’t even realize we didn’t decorate it, which you can do. They have kits of all different styles so the kids can make the outside of their Reality Viewer match their personal style. They have girly styles, modern styles, or even a more dark style closer to a Star Wars kind of theme.
Seedling has an amazing product line. All of their products are about creativity and that to me is soo cool. Creativity and imagination is everything for kids I think. They basically get to do whatever they want…whatever their brains lead them to do and the sense of accomplishment they get from creating anything is invaluable. For me, the final creation tells such a cool story about my kids. I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes about creativity from Maya Angelou, “you can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” So keep the fun DIY stuff coming Seedling…we heart you over here!!!
I have to say I love when I find a good childrens album that I can listen to in the car with the kids and one, not be reminded of a big purple dinosaur or two makes me want to pull over and jump out of the car. Anybody else feel this way? I mean why not just some cute kid friendly versus on top of some super cool tunes? Someone feels me became Bobby Bones released an extended version of his Raging Kidiots…Kiddy Up album and it’s perfection. The album features a number of fun, kid-friendly tracks that I too like to bop to in the car…yes I said bop!! They are easy on the ears and still teach kids some really good life lessons. Songs like Recess, When I Grow Up and my favorite Bad Manner Blues. Check it out here for a little sample. You’ll thank me!! And we may have listened to the whole album twice and I may have let them dance in the counters the whole time…oops!!!
